Katie graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2006, with a B.A. in Theater & Performance Studies.  During her tenure in the Design & Production track, she focused on the craft of Stage Management; past shows included Pippin, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, The Public, and Monkey King, an original adaptation that was featured both at Kennesaw and in Shanghai, China as part of the Shanghai Arts Festival. 

 

After graduation, Katie accepted an internship with Disney Parks Live Entertainment as a Production Assistant, producing new content for the Orlando-based Disney parks and resorts.  During her career at Disney, Katie has performed a variety of roles within Entertainment, including Production Assistant, Production Stage Manager, Production Manager, and Producer.  Highlights include Assistant Stage Manager for Disney Cruise Line's Disney Fantasy Opening Team; Production Stage Manager on Epcot's Candelight Processional and Disney's Animal Kingdom's Rivers of Light; and most recently the Production Manager and Producer for new Holiday offerings at Disney's Animal Kingdom in 2019.  Katie is currently working as a Production Manager with Disney Parks Live Entertainment, continuing to support new and existing offerings.

 

Katie has also worked in the Orlando theater community as freelance Stage Manager for several local theaters, including Mad Cow Theater's productions of Assassins, Amadeus, Topdog/Underdog, and Cradle Will Rock.
